Nice looking pants but description is misleading

By Chris

from Richmond, VA

About Me Casual/ Recreational

Pros

  • Lightweight

Cons

  • Poor Fit

Best Uses

  • Casual Wear

COMMENTS:

What caught my eye about these pants was that the description stated it had 3% lycra & for anyone who has gotten used to jeans & pants that have some stretch to them, they are incredibly comfortable & that has become a very important feature in any pants I buy. So I was expecting the pants to be stretchy, unfortunately they were not. There was absolutely no give in the waist which is the most important area to have some stretch to it. I normally wear 32 or 33 waist pants so I got the 32 ones figuring if they have some stretch they should fit ok, but I couldn't even button them when trying them on. The waist actually felt thinner than the rest of the pants, as if it tapered at the waist. The legs were roomy & nice & the pants themselves actually looked really nice, almost like dress khakis. If you order these I would definitely recommend going a size or two above what you think you are & that will likely get you a pair that fits nicely.
I give it two stars as they look like really nice pants, very disappointed in no stretch.

Very Comfortable pants but not very durable

By The Chemist

from Houston, TX

About Me Casual Dresser

Pros

  • Comfortable
  • Good Fit

Cons

  • Poor Quality

Best Uses

  • Casual Wear
  • Wear To Work

COMMENTS:

Pants are very comfortable, but within a few wears the buttons began falling off the paints and I had to have them replaced. The waist band flexes a lot which makes them very comfortable but also makes them feel too large at times when wearing them.

    COMMENTS:

I have always had a difficult time finding pants that fit my body. If they fit in the seat and "gentleman area" I inevitably had an extra 3-4" in the waist than I needed. If they fit my waist, I was crushed in the worst way.
I went through 4 pairs of khaki pants from 3 brands in 1 month trying to find a pair that fit. I inevitably tore the inseam in each one.
But then, my lovely wife got me these pants, and they have served dutifully since. And, I have enough room when I sit!

    COMMENTS:

I work in auto sales, I need pants that flex when I need to climb into trucks and lifted Wranglers. I need to look professional, but dress slacks don't work when you have to was your own car for customer delivery. Or dig our cars in the dead of winter. I have fallen in love with these pants!! They feel as soft as my broken down carpenter pants I climb into when I get home from work. Or cargo pants I can no longer find. These pants rock for guys with thicker thighs. These pants are made for MEN not skinny teenage boys, or hipsters. My one gripe is they could have darker colors and black.

    My favorite Christmas present!

      COMMENTS:

I work in IT, and can equally be called upon to fix a projector for the CEO in the middle of a presentation, clean a printer after a toner change gone wrong, or be asked to crawl around in the dust under someone's desk to find a loose connection. This means I need to look professional at all times, require elevated stain protection, AND need pants strong enough to stand up to the frequent bending and crouching that comes with my job.
I have tried a few of the more commonly accepted alternatives. I'm not sure I can put their names here, but the problem I continually have is tearing out the seat. I thought I would just have to settle for jeans and deal with the non-professional look.
I cannot adequately describe the joy I felt when I tried these on for the first time and did a quick squat. There was no strain or pulling in any direction. The gusset works perfectly. While I was looking for pants that I wouldn't be afraid to squat down in, I hadn't considered how wonderfully comfortable these would be. The guys in Corporate Services noticed my change right away and they will all be buying pairs.
These were a gift that I had begged for, and I will now be purchasing several additional pair. They came in exactly the size ordered and fit great.
