    COMMENTS:

I have blown out many pairs of cotton or blended pairs of traditional "cargo" shorts over the course of my 15 years working in the Florida heat and rain as a Landscape and Irrigation Contractor. The Sweatstop Utility Shorts made by Duluth Trading Company are by far the best work shorts I have ever owned or come across during my hunt for the perfect work short. I beat the heck out of my shorts on a daily basis... have blown out the crotch on more pairs of traditional cotton cargo shorts than I can count. I found these shorts and a few others from DTC online a couple years ago...and after testing a few different pairs I have become a huge fan of this product and pray that it never goes out of production. Traditional cotton cargo style work shorts would typically last me between 3-8 months before the washing, abusive wear and weather would break down the materials or seems...and they would get wet during the day (sweat, rain and what not)....I'd be just working as normaly..up and down planting plants, trees or installing an irrigation head...and next thing ya know....riiiiiiiiipppp. The hem would be sticking to my leg..and they'd blow out somewhere. I have worn these shorts (and I now own 6 pairs of the Sweatstop) almost everyday for the past 2-3 years... never have I had any issues with any of them. They are very stain resistant, they dry well, and they appear to be as mechanically strong and the day I purchased them.... I will say that when they first arrive...they material feels just slightly stiff, like a well built pair of work pants or shorts should be expected to feel.... However, after wearing them a couple of times and washing them a few times.... They begin to feel like your favorite pair of kicks or a well oiled baseball glove. I just can't honestly say enough about how perfectly made these shorts are. Thanks DTC from the entire team at Campus Landscape LLC for creating and selling such an awesome solution for the landscape contractor.

    Fine fabric for Arizona summers

      COMMENTS:

The Sweatstop fabric was a little stiff at first, but these shorts broke in pretty quickly. Working in the intense heat was a lot more comfortable in these, rather than the regular Firehose fabric shorts I usually wear. There was less binding at the leg hems. The one shortcoming is the pockets design and layout. I would have liked it to be more like the original Firehose work shorts. Otherwise, these were a great addition to my warm weather work clothes.

        COMMENTS:

I purchased 2 pairs of these. I bought them 2 months ago. 1 pair had a zipper continuously falling.
(pretty embarrassing) and the color has washed out, faded.

Prefer cargo shorts, obviously for the pockets and I only take them off long enough to put them through the wash. Like them so much I'm ordering another pair.

Work shorts are too hot for summer, right? Think again! Sweatstop Fire Hose is still highly abrasion-resistant, and has 24% wicking CoolMax to wick away sweat.
