COMMENTS:

I read the reviews saying this shirt jacket runs large and I'm 6'6 260 pounds so I ordered the XLT when I normally wear a XXL and it fits me pretty good with a sweatshirt underneath. The buttons are pretty stiff but I think they'll break in and be fine. I also think with a few washes it will fit me even better. Duluth trading company definitely tailors there sizing towards the beer bellied people. I don't have a beer belly but I'm definitely bigger than the average bear. Overall it feels like more of a jacket than a shirt jacket but I still think I'm going to enjoy it.

Too stiff and bulky feeling

Pros

  • Durable
  • Good Fit

Cons

  • Bulky

Best Uses

  • Outdoor work coat

COMMENTS:

I live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and purchased as winter work coat. It feel like it would be nice and warm, but for the money there are plenty of others just as warm without feeling like wearing a straight jacket. Returned it.

Pros

  • Breathable
  • Durable
  • Good Fit

Cons

  • tight button holes

Best Uses

COMMENTS:

I think this is going to be one of my favorite jac/shirts. I prefer snaps to buttons but after two washings these button holes are beginning to break in nicely. I'm using it as a light jacket in the 30 - 50 F degree range. I think it's going to hold up well.

Just What I Expected

Pros

  • Durable

Cons

    Best Uses

    • Work Wear--inclement weather

    COMMENTS:

After reading a bunch of the reviews this was exactly what I was expecting--a heavy, heavy duty outdoors work jacket. It definitely is heavier than any shirt jacket you've ever worn, but that's what I wanted. You can work all day in the field or woods and not damage the fire hose fabric. I had no problem with my buttons (just like a blue jean jacket) that other reviewers complained about. I see their point about the buttons not being covered so you can bend over a fender, but that doesn't matter to me. I'm actually looking forward to the first time I'm caught in a rainstorm.
