Great work glove for Alaska winter

Comments about Work Gloves - Men's Duluth Trading Gauntlet Winter Work Gloves:

I have spent 3 winters working as a bush pilot in Alaska and have gone through countless pairs of gloves trying to find something warm but durable. I finally found that with these gloves.

I have worn them down to -30 F, and I will admit my fingers get a bit chilly at that point. But once I start moving boxes, they warm right back up. They also block a lot of the wind, so windchill isn't as much of a factor as I have experienced before.

The best part is the durability and grip. Finding a good insulted glove that also stands up to some abuse has been difficult. These gloves are barely even showing any wear after 5 months of constant use.

These gloves fit as a Medium should, but still have enough room to throw a liner in on really cold days.

Boston blizzards of 2014 - snowblowing, snow shoveling, roof raking snow, chopping 18+ inch deep ice dams off the roof - these gloves did the job. Working 6-8 hours straight doing hard work, sweated a lot; gloves got wet from inside body moisture, but kept warm. Did not ice-over and lose their grip.

I used these for work gloves and they do a good job at protecting your hands. The liner is snug. I think these are good quality gloves.

Comments about Work Gloves - Men's Duluth Trading Gauntlet Winter Work Gloves:

I was looking forward to a glove which would keep my hands and fingers warm on Long Island. Our winters are not as cold as upstate and areas North but we do get some really cold days. I have done my share of skiing and these gloves were to be used for snow shoveling so they had to be tough and keep my hands and fingers warm. The first time I used them, was not one of our colder days but my fingers became extremely cold almost immediately. I chalked it up to their being new. I used them 2 more times after that and experienced the same bitter cold in my fingers and had to go back to an old pair of much less expensive gloves which kept my hands more comfortable. I also noticed that the lining appeared to have a tear in it around the thumb area. The gloves look like they are tough and would hold up to rough work but you will probably have frostbite in your fingers before you can confirm that fact.

Comments about Work Gloves - Men's Duluth Trading Gauntlet Winter Work Gloves:

I bought these gloves for working outdoors in the New England winter and they have failed miserably. I've tried to use these for shoveling snow & snowblowing, unloading & stowing bags of pellets, and doing other outdoor chores. No matter how high the level of activity, my fingers FREEZE in these gloves. The shell material gets extremely stiff in the cold and is no barrier to cold. These will only be good for you if the temperature stays above 35 or 40º.

These gloves are WAY overpriced. They are stiff and the finger lining turns inside out every time you take them off. They do not keep my fingers warm unless I ball up my hands in the palm area. I bought them online with a gift card, never would have bought them if I had seen them in person

I clear brush, remove downed trees, run chainsaw. Nice and warm, good protection on palm. Didn't come in my size, so they feel a little big.

Used in 10 to 15 degrees several times....snowblowing, shoveling snow, walking. Good snug fit, comfortable, like the extended cuff, but the fingers get cold and the fingers are too stiff.
