I hate having to wrap a long scarf around my neck and tuck it for warmth. Pull the strings and you don't have to. I take each set of the strings and tie them at the end into big bows, double-knotted (loosely) rather than tying the sets from one end to the sets at the other. No dangling strings to catch in the car door or tangle in the seat belts. If you wanted to wear it bunched all the time, I suppose you could pull the strings to the length you wanted and knot then cut, but the scarf is pretty enough to wear in different ways. Mine is in raspberry, and the color is bright but not garish, especially with the gray accents. Not very scratchy, and I have very sensitive skin.
