Women's Waterproof Ariat Terrain Boot

Would buy these boots again

These are identical to the regular Terrain Ariat boot. There is no waterproofing or the waterproofing does not work. I've never worn these in water. Shallow snow causes them to be wet, imagine what stepping in a puddle would do. Save your money. Buy the regular Terrain Ariat and do your own waterproofing. You will have to waterproof this model anyway.

Great shoes. Soft and no breaking-in period. Great for working around the yard. They are wide so my feet are not pinched. No unnecessary padding or weird stitching to cause extra calluses. Not good for hiking, as traction is not as good as regular hiking boots.

The size is true and wide enough to wear with heavier socks. The new model has several changes from the original offered. First, the new model doesn't have the reflect strips, it doesn't have the extended toe guard and it doesn't have the high rubber sides. The leather is more suede than leather as in the first. Although this doesn't take away from this great boot, I'll know more when I wear them down. The first model had a problem with the rear heel area as it started to delaminate. That's when I ordered the new model. I bees wax the laces and this helps them from un-tieing. All and all, I still love the boot and would order it again a third time! PS: I wore this boot continually during Hurricane Sandy and it kept my feet really warm when we didn't have heat for 11 days.

Very pleased with the construction of the boot and feels very comfortable-not too heavy or stiff.

I waited to write a review to make sure this shoe was all that it said it was and it is. I'm a jogger and hiker who takes her 3 large dogs along and needed a shoe that was waterproof, comfortable to run in, durable and looked good; it does all that.

I live in the country and walk on uneven terrain. I'd been wearing clogs for years but had one too many missteps and twisted ankles from their lack of stability. The last clog induced fall sent me right on my face. I decided it was time for some new shoes, boots for winter. I liked the looks of these, read the reviews and decided I'd give them a try. So glad I did. They were comfortable right out of the box. I can and do wear them all day and my feet are happy.

I wear a 7 1/2 or an 8, depending on the shoe. I bought these in an 8 and they fit just fine. I'm sure there will still be room for thicker socks on those cold days.

The only downside...I can't kick them on and off like clogs. I actually have to lace them up. Oh well, beats falling!

I bought and use these boots specifically for trail riding on my horse. Because they are waterproof I don't worry about wet feet if it rains or wet/muddy conditions around the barn. As an added bonus, I have also found them perfect to be able to then come home and do yard work in- especially raking up soggy leaves!!

Don't get me wrong, I like this boot. Just don't expect it to perform well as a waterproof boot. I wore it for only three days through heavy morning dew in my job as a gardener and came home with wet socks.

Use when I walk the dogs and do outside gardening.
