I got it to open a cash box that my kids lost the key for. Didn't take long to earn expertise but the lever to push the pick out gets stuck a lot. Takes time and the right touch. Overall does what is designed to do.

It works. Its a good place to start in the world of picking locks. Its a basic pick that works on simple locks.
There are some far more complex pick sets out there for more advanced users but it will work.
Start with a simple lock like on a cabinet door or something.

It worked very well on a couple of the locks I tried, including filing cabinet and desk locks. I had some trouble on some other locks, however I believe that it will take some practice to get good at those. In all very nice little tool.

My husband is always misplacing tools, keys, locks ,socks you name it...Now he can get into the shed to get the keys he locked inside of it ! Now, I have to figure out how to tie it to him ! His new favorite tinker toy with a purpose. lol...He loves it !

I bought this lock pick to open a file cabinet and a trigger lock that I had lost the keys for. I was able to open the file cabinet easily but I could not open the trigger lock. However, not even a professional locksmith could open the trigger lock and I had to saw it off with a Dremel tool. In short, the lock pick works well fro most things and there's lots of YouTube demos as well.

This will work well after i practice with it. i have used home made lock picks for tool boxes at work, they all require practice and a feel for what you are doing.

I bought this tool because there seem to be a lot of people who lose keys or lock themselves out. When I worked maintenance I cannot tell you how many locks I spend hours breaking and cutting harded steel shackels. Hours after I bought this I had picked two dead bolts, two different pad locks, a filing cabnet, and a door knob. In less time then cutting a security lock off. I learned to pick with jumbo paperclips in a pinch so I was well practiced, but this tool holds up. Not recommended for the heavy handed picker. Requires the soft hands to feel the lock. Only wish it came with a scoop for more challenging locks.

I do quite a bit of interior drywall and painting to fix leak damage.
Often the homes are rentals occupied by tenants. In multiple cases i have met with a homeowner at a property and the tenant has changed the lock or has not shared the key with the property owner. It would usually mean having to reschedule any inspection, but this tool has opened a few doors, saving a lot of time and aggravation, for both myself and clients.
