I was skeptical these overalls would fit as I am a short, but large female. I ordered the 18's in shortest inseam and they fit like a glove! Very roomy, the 3% spandex is great, and the pockets are excellent for many gardening tools and a cell phone. The "fire hose" material is true to it's word: It washes out with barely a stain noted! My only con is, I had to add a safety pin to each shoulder strap as the buckle keeps giving, thus making the entire length longer and less form-fitting. Other than this minor adjustment, this product is the cat's meow and I am ordering another pair! Also, the built in pocket to slide in a set of knee pads (I recommend ordering the Duluth set--they work wonderfully) is a great feature. Just slip out the pads to wash and replace them to wear and there is no need for any type of garden kneeler again.

I wore "bibs" as a child, but hadn't seen any for sale for years. It's a joy to have access to these wonderful garments again. As a total outdoor person, their non-binding comfort with complete freedom of movement is great for gardening, hiking, taking care of my animals (dogs, chickens) and generally being about town. As a woman, I'm enjoying the fact that every time I go out wearing them, someone (from my doctor to fellow Master Gardeners) comments on how good I look and says they want to get a pair too! THANKS, Duluth!!!

      Great Overalls

      By M. Heck

      from San Antonio, TX

      Pros

      • High Quality workmanship
      • Very Comfortable
      • Well Made

      Cons

        Best Uses

        • Anything Indoors
        • Anything outdoors

I'm amazed at how well these are made. I've had various types of overalls over the years and never seen such quality as I've seen in these. These don't have buttons to connect the straps but an interlocking hook and loop clasp system that is amazing, They're reinforced on the bib so there isn't any chance for the buttoms to pop off as washing will tend to do over time. Since it has been a while since I've had overalls, I forgot about all the wonderful pockets. I wore them the other day to fix a fence and it held all the pliers, wire cutters, and gizmos that I needed to fix the fence. And it didn't pull my pants down! The lighter weight firehose material is great for South Texas.

I always ware this overall when I fly. The front pocket keeps my boarding pass, credit card and IPhone instead of carrying a purse.
I've been thinking why girls always have to carry a purse while guys travel light with everything in his pocket.

Purchased for my wife. I picked the wrong size initially. Lucky for me, they fit my teenage daughter who is taller than my wife. Now she has a pair. My wife absolutely loves them. I'd recommend them and will continue buying them.

            Early review on comfortable overalls

            By A Shepherd/small farmer

            from PA

            Verified Buyer

            Pros

            • Stretch is comfortable
            • Washes and Dries well

            Cons

            • Straps Are Not Reinforced

            Best Uses

            • Chores

After only a month I do not yet know if the overalls will stand up to lambing and spring chores, but I am hoping they do because the stretch fabric is comfortable, not stiff or heavy. The unreinforced straps do tend to fold in the buckle after washing or rebuckling, which could be improved upon. I did find the best fit after talking to Duluth representative.

all the pockets are wonderful and help me to tote many tools, seed packets and even cut blooms (pencil pockets!) around for ease of use. These overalls are lightweight yet durable and have a wonderful fit to them.

These bibs are excellent. Thoughtfully designed from the placement of the pockets, to the moisture barrier lined double knees. Very comfortable and flexible, but the material feels quite durable as well.

Only con is the wedgie potential. I'm 5'6" and 125#. I ordered the extra small 31" inseam and they fit perfectly with some room to still bend and flex. However, if you look in the stock photo, you'll see that the model has the straps as long as they'll go- that's how mine are. Any shorter and I start to get a minor wedgie; I get a minor one when I crouch and bend or lift my arms up. It's not like I have a super long torso or anything either. I would take minor wedgie over plumber's crack any day though.

But seriously, otherwise, these are great. I recommend them.
