I had been looking for a fun, well made, wooden board game. This Shut the Box is attractive enough to keep out all the time. When friends and family (grandkids) come over everyone wants to play a quick game. We love playing with our grandson and watching his pride as he counts the dots on the dice. The bottom of the board is covered in felt so the worry of scratching the table avoided.

this is a fun game that can be played with 2 - 4 people or even 4 couples - goes fast, easy to learn and no real skill involved, all good fortune of the dice roll - I get "let's play some shut the box" all the time, when we have guests!

                    • Keeps The Mind Sharp

This is a counting game. Learned of it at the Dicken's Faire and fell in love with it. This one is good for 4 people. It's a fast moving game. My husband and I play it several times a day for just a few minutes each time. Maybe during lunch or waiting for the coffee to brew. It's that fast and great fun!! Would be awesome for children learning to add. Since it's fast paced we have to be on our toes with adding which will, hopefully, keep our minds quick. Can be played by one person as well. I highly recommend this game to anyone.

I sent this to my 6 year old nephew for his birthday and he loves the game. His father had an accident at work and is at home recovering. He loves the game. He and his son have played together frequently. They do have to keep an eye out for the two year old in the house (she likes the numbered pieces) but other than that, this is worth the money for the fun it's giving now and the years of fun it's going to give.
