Save your Money and your Face

I bought this product to shave unwanted neck hair. Even when shaving slowly and methodically as possible, calculating every stroke, and using the best in shaving lubricants I ended up hacking myself up badly (much more than a couple nicks).

I tried several times, trying to improve on my technique, but with the same results. My advice: unless you have an inclination toward masochism, save your money and your face.

Best Uses

In a time of multi-bladed, self lubricating, safety razors. This is a fine throwback to the good old days. Take the time you don't spend sharpening, and use it for practice. I you are afraid of a little blood, you might be better off with the Norelco. The first attempt looks like I was attacked by a cat. However I am sure it will go better next time.

I've been interested in a straight razor shave for some time now. I've really researched what is best for my needs. It was a good shave and first experience. If you haven't educated yourself on shaving with a straight razor, you may not want to buy this. If you have, you'll enjoy this product like I do.

This razor doesn't even come with one single blade included. The advertising calls this a "relaxing morning ritual." Translate that to "it's gonna take you a long, long time to shave with this thing." All I ended up doing was cutting myself. Badly. Three times.
Returning mine.
