The parts are a little larger than the original tinker toys. Some of the parts fit loosely and don't stay together as well as they should. The ends of a few sticks broke off the first time they were used. Most of the parts are very well made but these few that broke or didn't fit were disappointing. Overall it is a good toy but use care in taking the pieces apart to keep from breaking the ends off the sticks.

Once all the Christmas presents were open my six year old grandson went right for the Fiddlestixs. This is spite of the fact that he had received expense electronic toys. Spilling the stixs out we played together - creating a space tower, inacting, and sharing ideas. It brought back memories of when my brothers use to play fiddlestixs for hours on end, though I wasn't included then, now I have my revenge. Truth be told I think I bought the Fiddlestixs for me, but don't tell Adrain.

Finding toys that stimulate the imagination and require no batteries or electricity are not always easy to come by. In addition to being a nostalgic toy, which are always nice to introduce to today's kids, the Fiddlestix provide plenty of fun, and new ways to play and build each and every time we take them out. And because you're able to build many different things, they can be played with in conjunction with other toys too.

We have 3 boxes of tinker toys and love building big things on the rug. The cats are also helpful with the construction process.

I remember these from over 50 years ago. With all of the new gadgets available for kids, it was great to see our grandson enjoy these. They are larger than I remember and more sturdy ( more difficult to lose). The fact that the toys are larger makes these even better for the kids. THey are safe and enjoyable.

This was a Christmas gift for my 3-year old son. I am very pleased, as these seem to me to be just like the set I had as a kid (in the early 60's).

We, too, were disappointed that the Fiddlesticks came in a canister, not in the canvas bag as advertised. It is for a grandson, and would have made a much nicer Christmas gift the way we thought it was going to be.
