I regularly shave with a straight razor, so it's inevitable I'm gonna cut myself shaving. I bought this block of alum just to try it and it works great. It does burn a little; however almost all hemostatic agents do. Styptic burns a lot more than this.

I use an electric shaver, but seem to be able to cut a finger or scratch myself doing a job. The Alum block stops the small blood flow and the healing was over in a day rather than a band aid for several days.

I wish that I had found out about a block of alum many years ago, it would have saved me a lot of blood after I shave. This really works.

I purchased for my husband and it sat in his drawer not used. One day I pulled it out to use on a shave nick on my leg. I was shocked at the effectiveness! A bit later my husband saw me use it and couldn't believe it and proceeded to swipe it from me on his next shave and Squirreled it away from me! I had to buy another one! Not good for deep cuts but works excellent on nicks, doesn't get any better.

I cut myself shaving this morning and tried to use this product to stop the bleeding several times. It had little or no effect. Eventually, I had to go out and buy a styptic pencil to take care of the problem.

I use this stuff every time i shave. It is a powerful astringent so it stops bleeding fast, and it prevents razor burn.

My parents always had this in their medicine cabinet! Years ago you could purchase over the counter at any pharmacy. No one knows about it. Usually heals canker sores with one application, just apply or touch tongue to it and overnight, gone!!!! Amazing stuff!
This is the only place that has it in rock form -- also available as a pickling spice powder and is also hard to find, but doesn't work as well. One block will last a lifetime for many generations! Buying one for my MD who didn't know about this!

I shave my head everyday. My wife complains about the blood on the towels. This product is the best! Stops bleeding FAST. No pain. Wish I had this years ago,I wouldn't ever be without it.
