I'd seen these a bunch of times in the catalog before, and thought about buying them but didn't. I added them to an order recently to raise the total so I'd qualify for free shipping (which would have cost more than the tweezers).

I never bought them before because I thought "how often do I get splinters?" Turns out, pretty often.

I've used them twice since they arrived a couple of weeks ago. The first time I was impressed, but not dazzled. It made getting a sliver of steel out of my finger a bit easier than it would have been with a needle while working on a welding project.

The second time, I was a cleaning the dead leaves off the tops of my home garden garlic harvest and lodged a sliver of some hard dry material from the garlic deep in the pad of my thumb. Quite painful. The tweezers were right at hand (the keychain holder is genius, and adds very little bulk to my keychain...I hate a bulky keychain.) and I was able to dig the sliver out in no time, and with considerable less pain and hassle than I would have with a needle. I was really impressed. The tweezers (at the risk of grossing people out a little) are very good at picking away the skin on top of a deep sliver very precisely. Like hand surgery for knuckleheads.*

Worth its weight in gold. For real. Get a pair.

*probably want to get regular tetanus shots if you're like me and are willing to go this route.

It is the best tweezers I have ever purchased. I have one I purchased a few years back and have used them for the real fine splinters, they work great. They are a minimalist design,compact and effective.

I have been a carpenter for over 40 years and have used all kinds of things to remove slivers. These are the best by far. They make short work of those little metal slivers from sheet rock screws, and wood slivers do not stand a chance! Every one in the trades should have these in there tool box or first aid kit.

This is the best. About thirty years ago, I found this tweezer. My son also found it, that is when it diasppeared. Great for slivers, eyebrows, whenever needed. You can also put it on you keyring. Also, my son now has his own.

I bought this product to use to help remove splinters. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, probably will when I go camping later this year either for myself or someone else.

My husband loves this product. He works with wood a lot. My cosmetic tweezers did not do the job for his slivers. This product does and he can carry it around with him.
