      Missing one feature

      By Rosie the rancher

      from eastern AZ

      Verified Buyer

      Pros

      • Lots of pockets
      • Not too heavy but warm
      • very durable

      Cons

      • Needs Snaps

      Best Uses

      • Any Rough Outside Work
      • Chore coat

Live on ranch. Coat is good for carrying hay, wood or any outside activity.
I would prefer a "shirt" type collar.
Really wish it had snaps (with a zipper) I like that feature for a quick close. Will try to add my own.
Sizes run small. I am a very small, petite gal and I ordered a medium. Could almost use a large!

      Not as warm as indicated

      By SS Billie

      from No. Ca. mountains

      Verified Buyer

      Pros

      • Firehose Tough Exterior

      Cons

      • Arms Freeze
      • Cheap Berber Lining

      Best Uses

      • Work Jacket

Many quality details make Duluth products stand above the competition. However, this jacket needs upgrading. The firehose tough exterior is durable, but because of hairy fabric, everything sticks to it, eg firewood debris and dirt. The berber lining in the body is thin and cheap, thus not very warm, but the sleeves have so little insulation that your arms freeze. This is definitely not a warm winter work coat. Okay for autumn and Spring.

Cute and warm, but not big enough

      By ame

      from st. louis, mo

      Pros

      • Cute
      • Inside pockets
      • Lots of pockets
      • Nice Material

      Cons

      • Shrinks
      • Too small

      Best Uses

I ordered this in an XL as well as the Parka version and I think both will have to go back. I hoped they would fit me ok and allow for a little wiggle room on size. I loved all the pockets and the fact that it has a metal zipper. I am around a size 16 and can usually get by in XL in just about every line, esp in coats. I could almost not zip these and I tried them on in a tank top! I think if I had the option for a 2XL I might be able to do that fine, but without the option, no such luck.

I Love Almost Everything About This Coat

        By Kalamity K

        from Richmond, VA

        Pros

        • Not Stiff Bulky
        • Warm

        Cons

        • Needs better pockets

        Best Uses

        • Barn chores
        • Daily Wear
        • Riding

My only complaint is that the women's firehose jacket does not have the same great pockets that the men's work jacket has...and the men's jacket does not come in a small. Otherwise the jacket is my absolute favorite. Many warm jackets (you know...those with the most notable name) are stiff and bulky. But the firehose material is AWESOME. I absolutely love it...but I covet the men's pockets.

Bought this for our daily winter walks to Metro park with my dog Billy and hubby in Michigan. I wore it on a one of our cold days and it worked out just fine and kept me warm.

Ordered medium first too snug, returned for a large. It all went smoothly, got email returned item was recieved ok. and that a new item would be sent in exchanged for a bigger size. I recieved it within a week of returning other item. Good service.

            Comfortable, warm coat

            By Lee Dogwalker

            from Arlington, VA

            Verified Buyer

            Pros

            • Easy To Move In It
            • Love handwarmer pockets

            Cons

            • Inside Pockets Would Help
            • Needs A Hanging Loop

            Best Uses

            • Good Outdoor Work Jacket
            • Great for errands
            • Quick To Throw On

This is my daily jacket for errands, dog walking, etc. I'd love an inside pocket for my phone, and a hanging loop would make it handier to put on a coat hook. The quilted sleeve lining makes it easy to put on/take off. A nice, work-a-day jacket for the price.

            It Shrunk

            By Bean

            from Kalamazoo, MI

            Pros

            • Lots of pockets
            • Nice Style

            Cons

            • Attracts pet hair
            • Shrunk when I washed it

            Best Uses

I got this jacket today in a large and it fit great. Then I washed it, according to the instructions on the tag, and it shrunk. I will return it and get an extra large so that it still fits after I wash it. Also, it attracts pet hair much like fleece does.

Stands up to really cold weather

              By SJ Bargain Hunter

              from Lansing, MI

              Verified Buyer

I reserve this coat for the really cold days because it is warm. So I've been a little disappointed that our MI winter has been unseasonably warm. I love the fact that it has inside pockets. I wish more women's coats had them (so handy for phones, glasses). Construction seems strong and the fabric tough.
