I really wanted to keep this jacket, but the length was too long for me. The bust area room and sleeve length were perfect, but the torso was too long. The pockets ended up at my thigh, and I couldn't use them without stooping. The bottom also "bells" out in size, which didn't work for me with the too-long length. I am 5'3", 130lbs, with 40" bust and ordered the medium (there were no smalls available). I really liked the style, quality, and warmth. Lightweight. Good to wear around town.

Excellent coat for cold weather chores (clearing brush, yard, garden work, feeding animals, etc) and walking/training dogs.
Don't bother with the coat if it is not at least 30 degrees or you will be too hot. I bought one size up so there would be room for light thinsulate jacket under the coat in single digit temps and with that the coat keeps you toasty and perhaps overheated if doing heavy physical work.
A down parka would be warmer, but after a few scratches from brush or an exuberant jumping dog, you would be moulting like a broody hen so this parka is by far the most practical approach for cold weather.
I don't use the hand-warmer pockets since if it is cold enough to warrant this coat you should also have on good gloves, but the front pockets are perfect for miscellaneous small tools and dog treats. I don't use the other pockets as I don't carry a phone etc., but can see how they would be useful for a business person.

Bought this coat to wear out to do snow shoveling, and run errands and it is perfect, light weight, and WARM!!!

This jackets holds up to sharp puppy teeth. My puppy went through a phase where he was jumping on me and grabbing on to my jacket with his sharp milk teeth...never put a hole in the jacket. ( the seams did come undone on the sleeve where it is reinforced, an easy repair). The hood is roomy and extends forward enough to keep sun and rain out of your face. It truly offers excellent protection from snow, wind and rain.

Nice parka. It seemed a litlle stiff when I first started wearing, but after a few weeks it seemed to soften up and be more flexible.
Great for wearing in windy wet cold conditions.

Love this jacket. This is the first time I have ever invested into a good jacket. I hate winter for the simple fact that it is cold and this year there is a change - I will not be cold anymore. I am outside all of the time, I have horses of my own and then I have boarders and give lessons - and lets just say spend lots of time in the barn. Since I have bought this jacket - I do not leave home without it! I will admit when I recieved my package from Duluth I was weary because the jacket was not big or bulky and I really didnt think it would be warm or stand up to the conditions. I was wrong not only is this jacket really warm, it moves, its not bulky, I can ride in it and do not feel uncomfortable in the saddle. It also has a great hood - I always wear my hair up and even with a ponytail or a but the hood goes all the way over and the visor is great!
Cant say enough BUT I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE! its a must have . . THANKS DULUTH - I am hooked!

I've been looking for a really tough, protective parka - one I can wear when I have to be out in heavy rain, sleet, wind, or wet snow, with plenty of coverage and pockets.

I had hoped this might be it. Alas, though tough, well constructed, and of good length and pockets, it was cut for a small chested woman with arms much shorter than my own.

The parka squishes me across my (36C) chest and is quite restrictive through the back, arms, and chest when I reach forward or upwards. The sleeves ride up during the same movements to expose 3-5 inches of wrist. (Cold. Awkward. Wet.) This is a size large. I am 5'9".

If it's breathable I think pit zips are unnecessary and bulky.

Lovely soft strong lining in the pockets.

Maybe I'll try the next iteration. This one, unfortunately, is being returned.

I'd like to be writing a rave review. But two stars because all good features are wasted if a jacket doesn't work.

I wear this coat all the time, now that it is cold. I love how it feels and looks on me. I ordered the Med. It is true to size. It keeps me warm. If, and when, I wear this out, I would order another one. Very happy with this product :o)
