      • Fun With Lots Of Pockets
      • Lots of compliments
      • Loved the colors
      • Nice And Roomy In Hips
      • Nice Fabric

      Cons

      • Clasp At Waist Is Awkward
      • I'd Order A Size Down
      • Waist runs big

      Best Uses

      • I wear them EVERYWHERE
      • Super Comfy

These capris are super cute and I wear them everywhere. I've gotten a lot of compliments on them too. They are nice and roomy in the hips and thighs however, like most pants, the waist is a little big for us "pear shaped" gals. The clasp works to tighten the waist but it has to be adjusted to get it over the hips and then again for the waist. It's a pain when you go to the restroom. Kind of pricey for capris but if they hold up, I'll be fine with it. It's nearly impossible to find clothes that fit my body type.

Fasten that belt tight, especially when you use the notepads. Otherwise they tend to look like rapper's pants with the crotch at the knee.

      Useful but needs design overhaul

      By Tomato Lover

      from The Catskills, NY

      Pros

      • Knee Cushioning
      • Soft material
      • Stains Wash Out

      Cons

      • Fabric Tears Near Belt
      • Waist Closure

      Best Uses

      • Gardening

You will look like a sack of potatoes in these pants because they are cut loose at the waist and tighter at the hips, but who cares? They are great gardening pants. I would like to see Duluth revamp these keeping the elastic at the back and adding a front zipper for better tailoring. The elastic waist with clip belt is awkward to clip and unclip quickly. However the material is soft and comfortable, and these are excellent for gardening, with handy pockets with useful knee cushioning (you have to buy the knee pads separately). I wore mine 4x and the waist stitching ripped at the belt opening area. Customer service was excellent and sent me a new pair. These are "go to" pants for gardening. fyi the knee pads are stiff, so if you have a knee injury and sit in these pants, the knee pads may press uncomfortably against the knee. All in all, great for at-home gardening.

These are well made and fit perfectly. I put the knee pads into the front slot and it's a good fit. Perfect for gardening. Good buy at a fair price.

      Nice pants

      Best Uses

      • Every day

These were really nice pants. I am 5'6" about 155-160lbs. The size 12 was way too big. I also prefer the clam digger length that hits right below the knee, and these were much longer than that, was hoping they were a little shorter. So I returned them, but only because they were not exactly what I was expecting, they were very nice quality.

      Funny fit

      By Blueberry grower

      from Seattle

      Verified Buyer

      Pros

      • Durable
      • Nice color
      • Place For Knee Pads

      Cons

      • Awkward fit
      • Troublesome Buckle

      Best Uses

      • Outdoor gardening

I wanted to like these pants because they are a nice color (blue) and I needed some gardening crops. First of all, the fit is silly. It is not shaped for a woman's body, as the front and back are shaped exactly the same. It's like a tube, with legs and a belt. It billows out in the front, and then, surprisingly, is rather snug in the rear when I try to lift my knees. And the belt system is silly for women, also. There is a small amount of elastic in the waistband, not enough to allow the pants to slip over the hips. The webbing has to be loosened in the buckle every time you want to lower them, which is annoying. I kept them because I really needed a pair of gardening pants, but I feel that they could have been so much better if they were designed with women in mind.

I LOVE these pants! I enjoy the comfort and room of the pants when bending and kneeling while gardening.

My pruning shears, dandelion digger, Kleenex, bandana (for sweaty face), and gardening gloves all find a home in the many pockets - easily to hand.

I didn't order the knee pads when I ordered the pants, but intend to now that I know the very high quality of Duluth Trading Company products.

Before I ordered my pants, I read an unfavorable review about the (gift) pants not fitting over the hips of the customer's friend and having to be returned. I ordered mine anyway, trusting in the return guarantee. I had the same problem with my pants (not narrow hips, but "curvy" figure) ... until I figured out that the little belt buckle was really an adjustable belt running through the waistband casing. The belt can be very easily extended. Problem solved. I'd like to correct the impression that they don't fit as advertised. Mine fit easily and comfortably.

      Bad design

      Pros

Please rethink the design on these. Small would not pass my thighs (I wear a size 6 usually) and medium would fit 2 of my bodies inside. Perhaps a zipper closure is a better idea.
