Cargo pocket seams lumpy, rub; too short

    By TwoCoasts

    • warn

    Cons

    • Cargo Pockets Rub
    • Shorter than stated

    Best Uses

These feel like they would be very durable, but sadly, I'll never get to find out. The construction of the cargo pockets creates thick, lumpy, hard seams. I bought these for winter hiking and can tell that it wouldn't take much of a hike before those seams would create serious irritation. Also, the ones I got already seem a bit shorter than their stated inseam length of 29, and haven't even been washed and dried yet. Otherwise, they feel nicely warm and don't look bad.

These pants never ripped, tore, snagged... As I am remodeling the attic in my home. Tearing out old lumber and old insulation - not to mention it is winter in the great Midwest - these pants stood up to the torture of kicking, kneeling, throwing, jumping, skillful maneuvering through falling boards and sheetrock after it met a sledgehammer. Not only did they get me through a few sessions of demolishing, they kept me warm and toasty.
The only drawback... not offered in a longer inseam. I am 5'11"... Had to wear the tall work boots to accommodate the lack of leg material. If they came in 35" inseam - this would have gotten the 5 star review.

I just received these in time for the arctic blast predicted for next week. The lining is incredibly soft. Very comfortable to wear. As long as they don't shrink I'll be in good shape.

These pants were one part of my first clothing purchase with Duluth. I took another reviewer's advice and ordered one size up. Her advice was dead on. The pants fit perfectly. I wore them outside tonight in 30 degree temps and was toasty warm. Will be wearing them to a football game on Saturday. Very thankful for this find, these pants are amazing!! Thank you!!!

When I got this, it was two sizes too big. I was going to return it, then decided to try to resew it. Unfortunately didn't have time for that as my work with Leader Creek Fisheries in Alaska started up. I took them to Alaska with me thinking that they'd hold up better than my other pair of pants I was going to bring. It was better, so much better! I was warmer, my gear was easily cleaned of fish guts and scales, and it didn't soak as quickly! The only issue was that it was too big, but otherwise perfect for working in!

I have a small alpaca farm in upstate New York and worked in these fleece lined pants every day this winter. I've had flannel lined jeans but the beat the competitors brand jeans "hands down". I'll be ordering more for upcoming cold seasons and plan to give them as gifts. They're great!

I bought two pairs of these pants and I've virtually lived in them all winter. I can only wear them with long uderwear, however because the lining of the pockets rub on my legs and its uncomfortable. Its been a cold winter in Central New York so long underwear with these pants has been essential since I work outdoors with sheep and cattle. The size 4 fits me perfectly, I am 5"3 and 130 lbs. The waist sits perfectly on my hips, that's how I like to wear pants...depends on your preference cause some reviews said the waist was too big. Thanks for more great perfect fitting womens pants!

Purchased these at end of winter sale last year and have worn them at least once or twice a week this year. We started using vinegar in rinse and it has stopped them from attracting so much lint which is why I quit wearing them end of last winter to work on weekends. I have to have a long shirt tucked in the pants which are tight at first then will loosen up. However, pulling ivy the other day, I was ready to toss them! It feels like I'm showing my crack off to everyone. I don't know the answer...maybe some elastic, maybe make a pair that sits at or above the waist? Yet I love that I can be in 20-40 degree weather and be comfortable. A belt does not keep them tight enough for my bubble butt and usually I have no problems with Duluth pants which is why I keep coming back!

                  I would recommend with reservations.

I really wanted to love these pants. I have the unlined cargo pants and they are wonderful. But these have so many issues for me. First, the pockets on the left thigh hit me at my widest place and irritate my legs. It's not painful, just annoying. I am thin (5'8" 120 lbs) and somewhat curvy and the cut of the pants is perfect. Unfortunately, the lining almost feels slick to me - it's hard to describe, but it doesn't feel like other fleece. It has a smoother, thinner, less-brushed effect. Also, the outer material attracts every imaginable bit of lint, cat hair, fuzz, you name it - maybe it's because of the spandex or the FendOff fabric treatment for stains (BTW, why do we need toxic chemicals on our pants?). So, for all those reasons I just don't wear them. It's a shame because it's usually the fit that's so hard to get right. AND these fit me beautifully. I would love a pair with original firehose fabric, brushed fleece, and lower cargo pockets.
