Good for working all day around horses and riding, but they are wider than many English boots. They suffice for hiking but for me the heel is a little high for that. These are my second pair of these boots after the first pair was in need of replacing after 2 years of being well-loved. I like how they didn't change the boot at all in that time. Good, sturdy boot for all day comfort.

I've had these boots for 4 months now. I'm a professional gardener in New York City. I used to have serious foot pain at the end of the day with other boots. Not only do these protect your feet when digging in the mud, they are also super supportive when spending long days on hard pavement. They aren't the coolest summer boots I've ever had but they are tolerable in both cool and warm weather. As far as work boots go they're pretty stylish, especially for the comfort. The only cosmetic issue I have with them is that the leather tab in the front curls up. You won't see if it you're wearing long pants but its annoying none the less. These aren't waterproof but I plan on ordering Ariat's waterproof ones for the fall.

I read about these boots, ordered a pair, put them on the minute they came out of the box and I love them!! I ordered a half size down and they fit perfectly with med weight socks...They are so comfortable but you really feel the support....highly recommend them!

I ordered a pair of the waterproof Ariat boots a few months ago and liked them so much that I wanted a pair without the Goretex also. Per other reviewer's recommendations, I ordered a half size smaller than my regular size and can easily wear these boots with medium weight hiking socks. For me, they were comfortable from day one out of the box, I have had no issues with any rubbing, and I absolutely love the cushioning, arch support, and sneaker-boot style.

I couldn't believe how comfortable these shoe boots were! Very well made and should last many years. I did order a half size smaller than I usually take because of reading the other reviews on it - and they fit like a glove. My only regret is that they don't come up a little higher on the ankle for stability when hiking.

I need a boot that can be worn all day, be comfortable and look good no matter where or what I am doing and this boot fits the bill. It looks good, the quality seems fantastic and it's comfortable. The sizing seems true but the width seems almost to roomy. I still haven't found the right pair of socks to feel just right with these boots. The toes have enough room to be comfortable.
