Don?t think for a second that this is one of those stiff, plasticy windbreakers. Sure, the resilient 4.8-oz. ripstop fabric prevents wind from sneaking in, yet it's quiet and supple with comfortable stretch woven into every inch.

    Great vest!

I do trail construction and keep my Otterbox-covered cell phone in one pocket and my car keys in the other. The snap pockets are secure and easy to access, and haven't collected any leaves, twigs, or dirt. It holds up to shoving through wild roses and blackberry vines. I wear it over my polar fleece on near-freezing days, and it looks less bulky than wearing the fleece alone. And it looks good if I go shopping before hitting the trail. I love it!

I use it for training my dog. The slanted pockets are great for hiding treats and the elastic on the pockets keep the treats from falling out when I bend over. I ordered a large which is a bit big over a t-shirt but looks fine because of the drawstring waist. My hiking friend even commented on how nice it looked. It has a nice stylish cut. Goes nicely over my sweatshirt for foggy weather training. I just wish there was an opening in the side seam (large enough) so I could hide a toy between the front fabric and mesh lining-then I could whip the toy out. All in all a well made vest. Think I might order another one!

I will use the shirt and vest mostly for travel. Also, will use when I walk the dog, hiking and camping. I like the pockets on the vest to stuff items into, like credit cards, pass port, small camera and cell phone. I can put pocket change and credit cards inside the pockets on the shirt. I like the colors as the shirt and vest look nice together. Therefore, I can wear them together or separately. I also will wear the vest under my jacket for when I check into the airport (it gives me more pockets to stuff items into to cut back on suitcases). The small size fits true to size, if one uses the size chart. I am 361/2-281/2-40 and so far have no problems with the fit of the garments that I have received. The personal at Duluth are very helpful and I would suggest to phone them if you have any questions about the fit or color or anything else one can think of.

I bought this vest thinking it would be like the men's version that my husband has--lots of pockets, durable canvas fabric. But it's a scaled-back version made more for looks than for usability. It's beautifully made and looks nice, but it is more suited as a lightweight sleeveless jacket than as a utility vest. I'm keeping it, but I really hope they offer a women's version of the men's vest (which unfortunately is too broad across the shoulders to fit me).

I just got my vest, love it. I went with the Small & very glad I did. Most Duluth items in Women's runs big, so I down size. I am 5feet 5inches, 140lbs, smaller bust.. Will be perfect for gardening & doing mail. Can wear over a tank when I want more coverage. Another win for Duluth.

I wear this vest underneath my back pack. The plentiful pockets hold expensive gear i.e, GPS, compass, notebooks and cell phone. It's convenient in that I don't have to remove my pack and dig for important tools.
