Too tight

By bookreader

from Providence RI

Pros

  • soft fabric

Cons

  • Tight

Best Uses

  • Travel

The fabric is soft, the plaid attractive, and the violet color pleasant. However the shirt itself is form-fitting.

Once I rolled up the sleeves, they were tight around my biceps, and when I buttoned the shirt -- well, let's just say it's not designed for full-figured women. I'd love to have another one, but will have to go a size larger than I wear in all other Duluth products.

Walked 500 miles in Spain and wore this shirt 400 miles!

By 2ndchancehiker

from central California

Pros

  • Cool
  • Sun Protection
  • VERY FAST drying

Cons

    Best Uses

    • Hiking

This was my go-to shirt while walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain in April-May. The long sleeves blocked the sun so well I stopped applying sunblock to my arms. Since I carried all my gear I only had 2 outfits but found I loved this shirt so much I washed it in the sink every night so I could wear it daily (fast drying for sure!). It kept me cool and covered for all day walking. The gussets worked well, too. The plaid was perfect for my needs but now that I'm home, I would LOVE this shirt in white for daily errands, etc. Thanks for such a great shirt!

Just purchased 3 shirts on sale, and was pleasantly surprised. Shirts are really beautiful (thou sporty) Wore one today, no wrinkle and received lots of compliments. Its really hot in South Fl. and thou I wasn't in the hot burning sun the shirt felt great. (which is saying a lot for me as I'm always hot) The fit is perfect. I sized up and have ample room.

          Great shirt

          By norine

          from central Oregon, high desert

          Pros

          • Length
          • Material

          Cons

          • Narrow Middle

          Best Uses

          • Active Outside

These shirts are great but do watch the sizing. Because of the princess seams, if you have a thick middle, do go up one size. Also if you have broad shoulders, go up one size because of the gussets on the back or it will look like you have wings. I normally wear an xl and purchased these as a 2xl and they work well. These can be a fitted shirt but I need room to move. Love the light weight material. Sleeves and body length are perfect.

          Just ordered two more

          By lynnesite

          from Lake Mathews, CA

          Pros

          • Durably made
          • Fit
          • Light Weight
          • Not clammy
          • Pretty Plaids
          • Sun Protection

          Cons

          • Well Spendy

          Best Uses

          • Barn chores
          • Casual wear
          • Riding

I *need* to wear sun shirts. I don't want to wear sun shirts.

I wait for this shirt to come out of the dryer and forego the others I've been trying. The XSM is perfect for me, long enough sleeves, broad enough in the shoulders, not binding in the underarms, the mesh prevents sticking to the upper back, and I like the color (willow plaid).

Nice, but colors are not true

          By GreenYogaMom

          from Little Rock, AR

          Pros

          • Fabric
          • Style

          Cons

          • Color not true

          Best Uses

          • Farmer's Market
          • Gardening
          • Hiking
          • Sporting events

I love the Armachillo shirt that I ordered in Guava so I ordered another in a color that looks online like a yellow plaid. It is not true to the color pictured. I received an odd greenish colored plaid that was more like a yellowish light olive. It is very drab and the word "putrid" comes to mind. Sorry to say I now have to return it. :( I can't imagine who this color would look flattering on.

Fit is for a woman shaped like a stick

          By Clyde

          from Biloxi, MS

          Pros

          • Colors

          Cons

          • Sizing

          Best Uses

          • None

I have two of these shirts in the same size. One fits OK, but I would need to lose about 50 pounds to have it fit great. I am unable to even get my arms into the second shirt and it is the same size as the first. The sizing is NOT consistent and most disappointing. I love the plaids and the feminine colors. The shirt is a design mishap and Duluth needs to go back to the designer on this one.

          Hotter than a branding iron!!

We have a working cattle ranch in Texas. A year ago, I had a heat stroke after working cattle several straight days in temps over 100 degrees. I have been looking for shirts that will protect me from the sun - and keep me cool. Impossible - right ?!?! Until I found your Armachillo long sleeve shirts. Working cows - hot - sweltering - lots of little stinging critters with wings - and plenty of dust. The Armachillo shirt was amazing - kept me cool - dry - bug free. I have now purchased every color plaid you carry. It is the best shirt ever for the heat - and that's no bull!!
