      Fantastic Shirt

      By Abigail

      • Comfortable
      • Cool

      Cons

        Best Uses

        • Casual summer wear
        • Summer work wear

Although I was skeptical about this shirt at first, after a few weeks of wear, I'm totally converted. My armachillo shirts are my new go-to summer wear.

Yes, they are very cool. Not quite like wearing a tank top, but I doubt you'll find a long sleeve shirt cooler than this one. Besides, there's the plus of not having to worry about sunburn when you're working outdoors in this. They also fit nicely, and are sufficiently attractive - don't mind wearing them out to dinner or around town. Another plus: they do dry very quickly.

They do wrinkle easily, but the wrinkles seem to fall out with wear. I don't worry about ironing, and my shirts look just fine.

        A few minor cons:

when I'm lifting things above my head/otherwise raising my arms, the shirt seems to really come up. My belly usually ends up exposed. (My pant's waist line is pretty moderate. Not that low, not that high.) Better gussets/longer length might fix this.

Also, when I roll up the sleeves (a feature I really like!), the rolled fabric is just a bit snug. Too much skin contact for a hot summer day. Again, I have pretty moderately sized upper arms.

        Finally: more colors! : )

This shirt keeps you cool and provides great protection from the sun.
It's also stylish and looks great with jeans or cargo pants.
I used it while hiking in Spain and even after being crammed in a backpack, it still looked good. It was frustrating having to change all the buttons, but worth the effort.
It looks much better when buttons are the same color as the shirt.

        Buttons like headlights

        Pros

        • Back ventilation
        • Excellent sun protection
        • Long Sleeved And Cool
        • Raspberry Is Great Color
        • Soft silky fabric

        Cons

        • Button Color Wrong
        • Extremely wrinkled
        • Strange fit
        • very expensive

        Best Uses

        • Good For Play Or Work
        • Hot Humid Sunny Days

I love the idea of these shirts and I'm hoping they perform as described. I had to return the raspberry solid size M as it did not fit correctly (which adds $13.90 to the price tag). I normally wear a small to medium in shirts. In the reviews, it was mentioned that it was cool enough to even wear a tank under it, so I ordered the medium. The shirt was snug in the shoulders and there was no way I could wear anything under it, but the sleeves were almost too long and I have long arms. I am wondering if it will require regular ironing because it was quite wrinkled coming out of the package. One thing that particularly struck me wrong was that the buttons were bright white on the dark raspberry color which I didn't care for at all. I returned it for the lighter aqua in size large which I'm hoping will fit okay even if I have to roll the sleeves up.

        Best Gardening Shirt EVER!!!

I live in New Mexico, where the summers are hot and dry. This shirt, with it's silky, cool feel on the skin is perfect for mid-day weed pulling. But because it looks so good you could pair it with a denim skirt and go out on the town later. I can't say enough good about it.

Loved the shirt so much, I just ordered another. This is my new favorite! The fit is loose and comfortable, but slenderizing. The colors are great, though I wish there was more choice. It's perfect for a hot day in the sun followed by an evening out.

Casual but dressy enough for a night out

          By Lisa

          from Rochester, NY

          Pros

          • Comfortable
          • Lightweight fabric
          • Well Designed

          Cons

          • Fabric doesn't breathe

          Best Uses

          • CASUAL WEAR

I bought this shirt to wear when I wanted a little dressier look than a t-shirt. It's design is casual but dressy and can be worn with a skort, jeans, capris or shorts. I found that the fabric doesn't breathe and prefer a shirt with more cotton material. It's a very nice shirt though!

          I think it works!

          By Teri

            Best Uses

            • Hot sunny days

I got the Raspberry color, on a sale. I live in Denver, so usually a dry heat. I tried it while spending the afternoon at the zoo. It was mid 80s. I felt odd wearing a long sleeved shirt in the heat, but I really do think it kept me cooler. Oddly, I think it worked better when it was sunny. Late afternoon, it started to cloud up and I felt warmer. Or maybe it was getting more humid so I felt warmer. But it's a nice alternative to being exposed. I do think I felt cooler than when I wear a white cotton long sleeved peasant blouse. I like the way it looks, so will be happy to wear it whenever. Also seem to be stain resistant. I'd spilled a little root beer float on myself. Had a 2 inch mark. After it was already dried, I rubbed it with a paper towel soaked in cold water, and voila - the spot was gone!

will wear this hiking or birding; have some similar shirts that I have worn to bits- like the long sleeves and collar to cover my neck and protect me from sun/insects

If you make the pockets larger I would buy more. I received this one as a gift. Small pockets are really only decorative. The Duluth brand is supposed to be practical. Can you guys work on the pocket size?

Just got back from a trip to San Antonio where I wore this shirt in hot and cooler weather. I love shirts with sleeves that button up for their versatility and this one is great. I got the raspberry color, which is beautiful. I wish there were some other darker colors like it offered. It has a nice cut, slimming and feminine, but looks like it will be a very functional shirt to wear hiking, working outside and even for dinners out! I was surprised at how it kept me cool in the warmer temperatures. I usually wear a size 6 or 8 and Duluth's size small was perfect for me in this style.
