        I recommend this knife

        By Mitchintx

        Pros

        • Comfortable On Your Hip
        • Excellent Balance
        • Handle Feels Very Nice

        Cons

        • The Handle Flap Was Tight

        Best Uses

This is my all around knife. I wanted a beefier knife than my pen knife foe weekend working around the house. I used a lock back but don't always have an extra hand available to open it. This fixed blade knife is always ready.

This is a great knife with excellent craftsmanship, light weight yet sturdy and razor sharp. Useful around the house or ranch. Shipped free and arrive in a timely manner! A fine addition to any collection. I wouldn't use it to pry with.

          Scary Sharp Beauty

This is probably my favorite bushcrafting knife now. It's sharp as a razor blade, and can baton wood like a champ yet still carve a delicate fish hook with no problem. You will want to grind a small flat spot on the spine, while being careful not to heat the blade so as to affect the tempering of the steel so you can use a fire steel, but other than that, this is the knife Daniel Boone would have wished he had. Its light weight will take some getting used to, but it's every bit the tough little work horse. I've used it to baton wood, and except for a couple of scratches in the finish, it came through like a champ. I barely even noticed that it was any less sharp than when I started out. It's even my favorite go to knife in the kitchen now, though I do prefer a thinner blade when it comes time to dice onions. The Norwegians KNOW their knife making, and this is another fine example of that.

Workmanship did not meet expectations. The handle was poorly finished. It isn't what I had hoped for. I have a 115 year-old Norweigen knife that belonged to my Grandfather and it was better made.

Bought this for my son-in-law and he loved it. He is a skilled tradesman and he couldn't get over how well-made it was and how sharp the blade was. Favorite Christmas gift!
