when I first received the email, I tried to order but was told they were out of stock. I even called the outlet in My. Horeb,WI and was told they had none in stock and were unable to order it. I complained via email. The next day I was contacted and told the out of stock was a computer glitch. I did order it and received free shipping for my troubles. Therefore I am happy with the item.

It looks very authentic, and it can be used, after a good sharpening, for many things, like cutting string or cardboard. I just really like the knife, and I really can't think of anything bad about it.

I've had mine since Vietnam. I do not go anywhere without its back up, I still have the flat blade from the back. If you hunt, fish or camp this knife is a MUST-HAVE!

The original knife is the Kabar, made in the USA but is at least 3 times as expensive.

I wanted this knife because it was fashioned after WWII blades. I like the fit & finish, and it's rugged and durable. It also comes with a nice sheath. I would use it to cut cardboard, string, rope, etc. I don't want to bang it up or scratch and nick it because I bought it mostly as a keepsake. My dad was in WWII so it's more of a collectible for me. Overall, I am very satisfied with the knife.

THIS KNIFE WAS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED BUT BASED ON PRICE I SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN SURPRISED. THE KNIFE LOOKED LIKE ONE I HAD IN BOY SCOUTS IN THE 50'S AND IT WAS TERRIFIC QUALITY...ARMY SURPLUS, AS I REMEMBER. THIS KNIFE IS JUST, WELL ORDINARY.

I bought this at Christmas for my son who is an avid collector of military memorabilia. It was a spur of the moment gift that I bought quite late (less than a week before the holiday), but it was a great price and looked good. Much to my surprise, it arrived before Christmas and as expected it looked great. It had an authentic look and feel, but the blade was exceptionally dull and the handle was loose. It turns out the stacked leather handle is kept in place by a screw running through the butt of the knife which was stripped. I contacted customer service and they promised they would send me a new knife by two day air, which they did. Moreover, they told me to keep the knife I had. This is true customer service and is consistent with what Duluth has been doing for years. The problem was the replacement knife was worse than the first one. Bottom line, buy this for its looks if you want a low cost "Kbar", but don't expect to use it for hunting or fishing.
