WWII Fixed Blade

NEW CUSTOMER AND VERY IMPRESSED

I keep it in the kitchen in a knife block and use it whenever I do any cutting. Chicken,pork, beef roast, oranges, apples, etc.

THIS KNIFE WAS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED BUT BASED ON PRICE I SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN SURPRISED. THE KNIFE LOOKED LIKE ONE I HAD IN BOY SCOUTS IN THE 50'S AND IT WAS TERRIFIC QUALITY...ARMY SURPLUS, AS I REMEMBER. THIS KNIFE IS JUST, WELL ORDINARY.

I bought this at Christmas for my son who is an avid collector of military memorabilia. It was a spur of the moment gift that I bought quite late (less than a week before the holiday), but it was a great price and looked good. Much to my surprise, it arrived before Christmas and as expected it looked great. It had an authentic look and feel, but the blade was exceptionally dull and the handle was loose. It turns out the stacked leather handle is kept in place by a screw running through the butt of the knife which was stripped. I contacted customer service and they promised they would send me a new knife by two day air, which they did. Moreover, they told me to keep the knife I had. This is true customer service and is consistent with what Duluth has been doing for years. The problem was the replacement knife was worse than the first one. Bottom line, buy this for its looks if you want a low cost "Kbar", but don't expect to use it for hunting or fishing.
