These look great and are great especially for warm weather. Soft material is light-weight and pockets are netted for more heat relief. Colors are beautiful. They launder beautifully and material is tough even though summer comfortable.

      The Bee's Knee's

      By Garden Girl

      from Urbana, IL

      Verified Buyer

Love the quick-drying, dirt resistant fabric! I find them cool even in warm weather. The insertable knee pads make these the best gardening product I have worn. I own two pair, but I have experienced the right side top grommet at the waist on both pairs pop out. Other than that, I just love them.

      • CASUAL WEAR

My wife is a die hard overall wearer, and she usually has trouble with the over the shoulder snaps on other overalls. They tend to wear out and/or get twisted and break off in the wash. These overalls won't do that! The slip through snaps are perfect and she loves them.

      Great to wear in Florida

      Pros

          Best Uses

One of the things I like about these is how they hook. On the railroad type of overalls I would wash them and it always broke where the hook is, then I would have to go and buy a new hook holder and take apart the seam and resew them. That was a big nuisance.

I love these bibs! They are a bit long for me, so I shortened them two inches. Now they are good to go to do anything I want outside. The bib organization is fun and all the pockets are useful. I actually also have the red and white striped ones that are fun for family parties, indoor or out. Just get the train whistle, and holler, "All aboard the Party Train!"

            heirloom gardening overalls

These really are made for real women. The zipper is really important to me as lots of overalls have none. I like the lightweight ones for working in. I am short (5' 3") so some times I have to hem my stuff. I would really like to be able to buy an even lighter weight denin set of coveralls, too

                Knees or Thighs?

I dreamed of owning these overalls for years. When the 20% off sale occurred, I bought two pairs. Unfortunately, the knee pads are way too high resulting in them being at my thighs when I sit down. Wishing there was a way to cut out that extra reinforced knee material. I am returning one pair which I haven't opened. My advice...rethink the knee pad location and make the inseams longer. Great idea, but needs refining to be useful.

                Side button tears through fabric

                Best Uses

                • Gardening

The fabric is too lightweight to hold the metal side buttons under stress (which they get a lot of when you are gardening -- leaning, crouching, pulling, etc.). I was disappointed because these are the perfect weight for summertime gardening in the heat. If a reinforcement patch of fabric was placed where the side buttons attach, that might solve the problem.

I found as well that the buckles on the adjustable shoulder straps slip very easily.

With a couple of improvements and/or tweaks, these would be great summertime work overalls.

I put these to the test. Livestock farming demands rugged work clothes but I'm not a 'shorts' lady. These are perfect. They keep me cool, hold my cell phone securely, don't shrink and dry fast. And I don't mind who comes mosy-ing up the driveway, I know I look good!

                Love these overalls

I have purchased overalls in the past and found them to heavy to wear for yard work. These are very comfortable and dont weigh you down. I also love the way they have use a better button closure across the straps so they dont break when washed or dried. Plus living in Florida it gets super hot and I was very comfortable wearing these out while doing yard work.
