Comments about Duluth Trading Women's DuluthFlex Fire Hose Modern Cargo Pants:

I was really jealous of my husband's Duluth work pants, and had to have some of my own. I work in an office, technically, but I'm constantly out in our warehouse and machine shop/fab shop. Jeans get dirty, snagged, torn, and ruined pretty quick in a machine shop. These pants have held up really well, and the iron dust seems to just brush right off instead of getting rubbed in like all my jeans. I only bought one pair to start with, and was having to wash them constantly because they're the only pants I want to wear to work anymore. I've since ordered four more, enough for every day of the work week, although they seem to stay so clean that I can wear them twice before they have to visit the washer. They are really comfortable, and have a great fit. I'm 5'6", 150 lbs...and these pants are just right through the thighs, and in the backside. Plenty of give so I can move, climb, drag stuff, bend over and lift. And they're comfy, just the right weight.

Love the pockets. They're in all the right spots, and they aren't bulky. The screwdriver pocket on the right leg comes in SUPER handy when I have to go out in the shop and wire something or tear something down/put something back together, or it keeps my jumbo sharpie in place so I don't walk off without it. The zip pocket on the left leg is perfect when travelling - I always wear these pants when I fly. Keeps my passport handy, and secure. At work, that's where I've always got a picking ticket, report, list, or whatever paperwork (folded once lengthwise) I need to do what I'm doing. Back pockets are the constant home of my cell phone. The front pockets could be just a touch deeper, but they work just fine as is.

My only two beefs are: Why can't these come in blue? And I could do without the secondary pocket inside the zip pocket on left leg. It tends to try and grab the corners of things as I try slipping them into my pocket. Might rip that pocket out of all of mine.

I really love these pants. I've tried for years to find something practical and durable, and these finally fit the bill.

Comments about Duluth Trading Women's DuluthFlex Fire Hose Modern Cargo Pants:

I waned these for outdoor work, but also to run around on weekends. I love they way they look when I pull them from the dryer. They hang well, fit well and are surprisingly the right length (I'm 5'2"/125 and bought a size 4P)

Within an hour I have the lint brush out. We have a dog that does not shed and two cat, but I look like I've been rolling in lint. If you don't have animals, then this might not be a concern. Also, I usually have a belt on by mid day as the pants loosen up a lot with wear.

I bought a pari two years ago and they do not have these same problems. Did DTC get a new supplier, change the fabric? I was disappointed by this second pair.

Comments about Duluth Trading Women's DuluthFlex Fire Hose Modern Cargo Pants:

If you need a 32" inseam like me, order the 33" because with a few trips through the dryer, the length shrinks to 32".

Works wonderfully for my retail work.

Comments about Duluth Trading Women's DuluthFlex Fire Hose Modern Cargo Pants:

I work in an office supply retail store. Not only do I run around the store straightening out product but I have to carry furniture, 10 ream cases of paper, push palates around and reorganize merchandise all while helping customers both in the store and over the phone. These pants are absolutely perfect! They're tough and flexible so I don't have to worry about wrinkles or tears when I get sweaty or bump into things. The pockets are absolutely wonderful! I can carry my headset, scanner, phone, box cutter and pens in them and still be hands free and look professional.

I've been using these pants about every other day for ten months.

The only downside I found was that the color (black) faded slightly over time so it's now a shade of dark grey and the knees are lighter what with all the kneeling I do.

Incredibly comfortable and extremely functional. Worth every penny! Looking forward to getting my new second pair.

Live in Tucson. Use cargo pants for work as a Docent at ASDM, no matter how hot it gets in August. Love the pockets. Also, wear them out and about. Love the way they shed dirt and wash. They always look and feel good!!!

I use these for business casual with an oxford and a sweater, Love that they don't wrinkle after hours driving to construction sites. The fabric is tough, and has enough stretch to feel comfy all day. They are also wind resistant enough to be warm when the temps are way below freezing but not too hot indoors.

I just started buying Duluth and will be a lifelong fan. Also had to exchange sizes and Duluth cust serv was great.

These are the absolute perfect pants for everything I do in my work day. They're dressy enough for meetings at work, yet I can carry everything I need in my pockets and not need a purse - and not look like I'm wearing military cargos. They shed dirt well and still look good after climbing around on roofs and in crawl spaces. They stretch as I move. The 35" inseam is long enough for my 5'10" frame. I'm sold! Can you make them in more colors please - Maybe olive green or navy blue? (Flannel-lined would be nice too, for the colder days...)

I wear these pants for every day stuff as-well-as wearing for causual outings. On previous jeans that I'd ordered from Duluth, I didn't like the zippers because they always fell down. This problem seems to have been corrected. I like the large cargo pockets where my iPhone (in a folding case) fits very nicely.

                      Too long a boot cut

                      By Cat rescuer

Comments about Duluth Trading Women's DuluthFlex Fire Hose Modern Cargo Pants:

Nice pants but I ordered the 31 as I am 5'3" and the standard petite length is too short so thought this length might be good but they were way too long. I also do not like boot cut pants. They do sit slightly below the waist which is good. I am sending them back and not ordering a shorter size as I only like straight leg pants.

Comments about Duluth Trading Women's DuluthFlex Fire Hose Modern Cargo Pants:

These pants are pretty awesome! I bought them because my friends have had pairs for years and LOVE them. I can see why - they're comfortable, repel water (and therefore stains), and look nice. I spent last weekend crawling around on the roof (tar shingles) cleaning the gutters, and the rough shingle texture doesn't seem to have affected them at all (I was kneeling). They are definitely nice-looking pants, but I don't think you could get away wearing to on a "business casual" kind of job - they are a little too utilitarian for that (mainly because of the pockets).

Two things to note: (1) The texture/feel of the pants is a bit plastic-y - I realize the name says firehose pants, but they feel more like nylon than cotton. I'm not sure if that would make them better for hot weather or worse than jeans or other cotton fabric. The seemed pleasantly warm for the fall season. (2) The other thing is that these pants get terribly wrinkled in the wash - the wrinkles kind of come out out in the dryer, but not when you line-dry them. This could be a result of the type of fabric, but makes them a little less easy-care than I'd like (who wants to iron or decide to look wrinkly?).
