Helle Sigmund is One Helluva Beautiful Knife
They sure don’t make ‘em like they used to… oh wait, yes, they do. Helle has been making knives the old-fashioned way (by hand) in Norway since 1932. The Helle Sigmund Knife is an anniversary edition designed by two generations of men. Sigmund Helle designed the blade in the early 1930s, and his son Torodd designed the handle in 2012. A classic, all-purpose field knife that works just as happily in the kitchen or around the campground, the Sigmund features a beautiful handle of stacked wood and leather spacers. The blade is triple laminated – hard alloy steel at the center for sharpness and edge retention, protected by stainless steel outside – and sheep-shavingly sharp. Good thing it comes with a unique genuine leather sheath for timeless styling and protection.
