Marble's #3 Safety Axe: Chop Any Limbs but Your Own!

In the early 1890s, Webster Marble was one of the top timber cruisers in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, famed for his uncanny ability to predict a board foot harvest by merely looking at the forested acreage. He invented the original version of this axe, along with dozens more outdoor innovations created during his decades of hard work in the wilderness. We're proud to bring you this modern update, improved with technology that wasn't around 100+ years ago. The overall design is largely unchanged – still compact and perfectly balanced, still equipped with the folding blade cover that stows conveniently in the handle. The signature stainless steel head has a 2-5/8" cutting edge to make quick work of limbing and chopping kindling. The biggest change from Marble's design is the handle, which replaces the traditional hickory handle with a contemporary composite version that won't splinter or rot like wood. We think Webster Marble would approve.

Features

  • Classic hand axe updated with a lightweight, weather-impervious handle
  • Folding blade cover prevents accidental hacks, stows in handle between uses
  • Black composition handle won't warp, splinter or rot like wood
  • 11-1/2" overall; stainless steel head measures 4-5/8" x 2-1/2"
  • Made in Canada
