In 2004, a buddy slapped an axe in Adam’s hand and he hasn’t looked back. Adam started competing in the Stihl Timbersports® Collegiate Series in 2006, winning it in 2009. Now he splits his time—and logs—between the big stage and the US Forest Service.
Kate’s axe-swinging started in 2010 when a friend cajoled her into giving it a crack. These days, Kate spends her days training, competing and teaching outdoor recreation and survival skills to young people in northern Wisconsin.
