COMMENTS:
I have been a Carhartt Carpenter pants devotee for 20+ years, and now have donated nearly all of my lightly used pairs to Goodwill in favor of these. If only DTC would follow the pocket design of Carhartt, they would be perfect. But the huge difference that made me switch is the material. There is no stretch to any of the Carhartt options, and these have the perfect amount for me. I wear odd number sizes, which Carhartt offer, and DTC does not, but ordering the smaller waist, and longer length is what worked for me. I also have cool max flex pants from DTC, which I'll wear on really hot days, but for assorted seasonal weather, this one is perfect for me, and felt I should share the reason a devoted Carhartt person switched after so many years. I'm hoping DTC will review my comments here and make some minor adjustments for these for my future purchases, but I'm a repeat customer from now on regardless.

COMMENTS:
These are ok, truth be told, I think they are going to be returned. I'm pretty sure they shrunk in the length. The waist is still ok, they just don't lay over my boots like they used to. I've had them about 6 months. If you work in a dusty or dirty environment, I don't suggest these. Dirt clings to this material like none other. If your walking in a dusty area, expect the bottom 12 inches to be dusty and it don't brush off, they need washed. I wish the pant legs were a little wider throughout. The thighs are a little snug and they are snug over my 6 inch work boots. Not really the pants for me.

What I was looking for my work eccentric lifestyle. I gave it four stars as i have not been able to determine it durability.

COMMENTS:
I wasn't sure what to expect with these pants because I have always worn Carhart for work.
Now I'll only buy these Firehouse Carpenter pants because they are so comfortable.
The waist stretches a little. The crotch has an extra piece of fabric, so I noticed when bending and crouching it doesn't bind up on you.
The only thing I'll say negative is they are a bit high in price.

COMMENTS:
unable to find same pant design with waist side pockets stitches into inside of leg material. Will not accept the current design with large bag-type waist side pockets hanging loose inside the waist and leg material. Reordered twice to try to obtain same style I'm wearing but have given one away and returned another this week. I really like the duluthflex carpenter pants I'm wearing, but will not order any of the current models with the baggy inside waist pockets.
