    COMMENTS:

Great axe for backcountry or car camping. Comfortable and the right length for most tasks around the campsite. The deep inset of the head allows you to use to feather tender to make a quick firestarter.

      COMMENTS:

The Woodcraft axe is probably one of the most versatile axes I've ever used. This is my go to axe. The newer logo style matches what most axe makers do, and looks good, too. The axe bites deep, feels good in the hands, and has excellent edge durability. Comes out of the package shaving sharp. I've used this axe for timber framing, trail work, wood work, and fire-side needs. Made in USA, too. It's about time US makers brought back the quality American axes of old... Council Tool has done this, and knocked it out of the park!

        COMMENTS:

I sold my Gransfors Bruks Small Forest Axe to purchase this, hoping it would be at least nearly as good. Well it exceeded my expectations and I feel it is better by a good bit. It seems more suited to the trees of North America, the head profile makes for easy splitting and the fit and finish are top notch.

This axe does not dissapoint, and carries a lifetime warrenty. What is not to like?

Camping made easy. You will be looking for chores once you hold this axe in your hands. Perfect balance. A little fine sanding, a couple coats of linseed oil and you are good to go.

            COMMENTS:

This is an awsome piece of equipment made by one of the last true American tool forges. Quality is excellent. Size is packable but designed for real work. This is not a kindling hatchet! I would take this over those swedish forest axes any day.
