      COMMENTS:

These would be good for walking through snow or dew covered grass. If you step in a puddle plan on getting wet socks. The boots are so wide that the eyelets touch when I lace them up and I wear a size d width. The jobsite I tested these out on has lots of puddles and my feet were soaked. Very disappointed I plan to return these.

          COMMENTS:

Like most of the AHG line, these Unimak's are the real-deal, folks. The long and short: these boots will keep you comfortable and can take a great deal of elemental damage (before you start to feel it).

There is no need to break these boots in. Right from the jump, lacing-up you'll be tight in the areas that need to be (lower calf, heel, plantar), and loose where it counts (toes, ankle). My ankles are not chaffing the sides, and I have some good range of motion on my ankles, so bending over and squatting doesn't feel like an awkward balancing act; boots do not feel like a high-top. Terrain grip is solid on snow and ice, however it is not competitive with dedicated ice cleats. I can wear a heavy pair of socks and my toes still have room to "breath." Minimal foot sweat and odor. There are included foot inserts if a more snug fit is desired.

If you need a good winter boot, doesn't second guess this -- do it.
