Perseverance. Determination. Self-control. All of which you’ll hone after spending time with a kendama. Played in Japan for over 100 years, kendama is a spin on the traditional cup-and-ball game that incorporates skills like yo-yoing and juggling. The Prime Kendama features a shape perfect for those just starting out or folks hoping to develop more trick consistency. Plus, the ball, or tama, is painted with Prime Tacky Paint, giving you a hand up on trick-sticking power.
Sweets Kendamas was founded in 2010 by a young man inspired to try kendama after watching a video. Once he discovered kendamas were only available in Japan, he saw an opportunity to bring them here. His small Minneapolis-based company assembles and hand-paints every single kendama with care.
