    COMMENTS:

First time I used these I was spinning tires in snow, stuck on my mom's curved driveway on a hill. I was only 3 feet from road but my car had slid and angled. I needed to straighten out the car to go up or back down without careening into large rocks bordering driveway. The more I spun my wheels or tried to rock car forward and back, the more the car angled toward rocks. I was alone and remembered I had these yellow things in my trunk! I followed the simple instructions on the cardboard wrapper, tucked the 2 plastic treads in place under 2 front tires, and it worked! It gave me the control and impetus needed to advance and straighten out the car and get it out of the slippery groove I was stuck in. Tip #1: before you throw these in your trunk, cut the plastic ties so traction mats are separated and ready to go (I had to find wire cutters in my mom's garage before I could use the mats) Tip #2: Don't throw cardboard instructions away - keep in your trunk. From winter to winter, you may not remember where to place the treads when you're stuck and no instructions on the actual plastic mats themselves. My friend got a pair of these after learning of my success. I threw a pair in my husband's car after he had elbow surgery - no point risking re-injury trying to push a car out of snow. We used them to help people stuck in snow in the flat alley across from us. A simple and effective tool.

        COMMENTS:

My 2WD drive truck slipped into a rut in about 8-10 inches of snow. It took 2-3 times using them and I got out. I saw comments about them flying out. I accelerated slowly and had no issues. They worked great and I was thrilled to have them. Great value and a must have for winter in Northern WI.

        COMMENTS:

These things work very well unless you are already high centered. One word of caution! When using them...make sure nobody is in the path that the tires are directed! I've seen these traction mats flung up to 50 feet at high velocity theat would surely injuse anyone they struck! Most impressive thing is..they keep on going...wanting more!

            COMMENTS:

I've bought 4 of these. I have one in each vehicle and have given them to friends. One use more than pays for them! Not for getting you over the summit, but got me and a neighbor out of the driveway. Great for my small car, not quite so good in deeper snow (3 feet) for my pickup. Well worth the price. Also acts as an emergency snow shovel.

I used these after I got my 4x4 stuck in a snow berm and needed to get moving again. These gave me the traction that I needed.
