    COMMENTS:

I bought a pair of these 5-6 yrs ago and I am still using them today. Originally I bought them for gardening but I also used them when working on concrete floors. Now w/bad knees, I wear them anytime I have to kneel, even if just for a quick minute. If you really want to get extra coverage, add the gel knee pad, that's an awesome product too. Either one works great, especially when you are working out in the unevenness of a rock garden. Because I wear these all the time ,indoors & out, this year noticed I'm going to have to replace the fuzzy side of the Velcro closure. I'm only writing a review now because I was on this website debating whether to buy another pair or just fix the ones I & as I type, I decided I'm going to do both. The gel is still perfectly in tack, though they are full of caulk etc, but in case I don't get to fixing the others right away... I usually wear these over long pants as I need to protect my skin from the elements, but they are still soft & comfy to use with shorts (wear directly on skin). There is one thing I should mention here-they do have to be fairly tight in order to stay in place & I need them to be fairly loose because of my legs, so I do find myself having to sometimes adjust them up a little once I kneel down, but they are worth it! I didn't have any trouble with them staying up when I walked in a looser mode (but again, I have long pants on). And I just remembered- there is no right or left leg designation so, if you happen to put them on with the strap flap to the inside, you may find your legs catching on each other occasionally when walking. Easy answer is to just be sure the flap of the straps goes to the outside of your leg; there is also a label on the bottom edge in front, just put label to the outside. I just wasn't aware because no one told me. ALSO, these are listed under women's knee pads and my son and husband have been known to grab them for use here and there, the straps are very adjustable in size

This product was a Dissapointment. To me. The knee pad shifts down no matter how well you secure it. I have always used the contoured ones in the past.

I used to scrape my knees up working on our sailboat. These are cushiony, not too hot, and stay put.
