Jill was looking for new ways to help local farmers thrive in a changing industry. A love of good whiskey set her musing, and it wasn’t long before the idea of a distillery started percolating.
She teamed up with a local grower to source grain, and found Molly, the youngest female Master Distiller in the country.
The result? Freeland Spirits, an operation that celebrates the Willamette Valley’s rich heritage by bringing local ingredients to its award-winning gin and bourbon – made from scratch, as all good things are.
After just three years of hard work and dedication, they turned a pie-in-the-sky idea into a functional distillery and tasting room – owning the entire process from farm to table. Their success is built on fresh ingredients grown with pride and a master distiller who makes flavor profiles and taste a top priority. Molly’s gin recipe boasts 19 botanicals, with top-note hints of cucumber, rosemary, thyme, mint – and one or two secret ingredients she’ll share with no one but her team.
