Build an Empire While Staying Warm in a Century-Old Classic Jacket
Originally called “flight jackets” and worn in open-air cockpits of WWI planes, bomber jackets were once made of sealskin or horse leather and lined with fur. Known for a shorter jacket length, looser arms and shoulders, and ribbed collars, cuffs and waistbands (to seal out the cold), they were tough to beat for warmth, comfort and functionality. Still, we had to give it a try, with our trademark Duluth Reach Gussets™ and bi-swing back to maximize freedom as you build your empire or honcho the stick of your Martin MB-1. Wool blend fabric is matched with Thinsulate™ insulation and a quilted nylon lining for warmth, while a storm flap under the zipper helps you brave the elements. Adjustable cuffs and 11 pockets make it a jacket you’ll reach for every day this winter, and last but not least, it looks darn good.
