STORY
Durable and versatile, these minimalist storage containers were created by Kaico, founded by designer Makoto Koizumi. In his work, Koizumi focuses on creating graceful shapes that perform flawlessly — simple, elegant tools that will last a lifetime of use. Available in three different sizes, each canister is made from steel coated in white enamel; Koizumi worked with local factories to bring the production of Kaico enamel to Mie Prefecture, Japan. Porcelain enamel is thermal-efficient, and provides excellent insulation. It’s also acid- and scratch-resistant, nonabsorbent, and easy to clean. The lids feature silicone seals for an airtight fit, making these the perfect containers for storing leftovers — and they’re attractive enough to double as serveware, too.
