STORY
In 2004 the European Space Agency sent the Rosetta probe into space to study a comet nicknamed Tchoury. After a ten-year journey and hundreds of millions of miles through space, Rosetta entered the comet’s orbit and stayed there for 18 months — a first in the history of space exploration. Its lander, Philae, touched down on the surface in search of answers about the origins of our solar system and the emergence of life on Earth. The scores of high-definition photographs they collected are presented in this extraordinary book, a record of the entire journey through the cosmos. These captivating images are paired with text from Jean-Pierre Bilbring, an astrophysicist involved with the original project, reflecting on the interstellar voyage.
